New toddler bed sets are a great way to get your child to sleep in her new big bed. Having a favorite character on the sheets or even just a favorite color can make her feel safe at night.
Bed sets are also a great way to update the look of a room, and herein lies the problem. If you're not careful about what you buy, you could find that she's nagging you for a new set in just a few months.
Car Toddler Bed
Take the following into consideration when you purchase toddler bed sets, girl or boy:
1. Favorite characters can change on a whim. If he's begging you for a Thomas the Tank Engine set or she's asking for a Disney Princess one, you may want to think twice before you buy it. When is he going to ask for the next hot character? If you do buy this type of toddler bedding set, tell your child that he cannot get a new one for at least a year.
2. Bright colors can stimulate your child, making it hard for her to sleep. Instead, guide her to selecting a bed set that's in a pastel or dark color.
3. Choose a comforter that's light enough for summer use. You can always add extra blankets in the winter to stay warm, but if the comforter is too heavy, she won't be able to use it in the summer.
4. Purchase an extra set of sheets...or three. You don't want to have to do laundry immediately after any accidents, which can happen a lot when you have a toddler.
5. Get a plastic sheet to go under the "pretty" sheets. This is especially necessary if your child is potty training. It's common for toddlers to wet the bed and you don't want to soak the mattress.
When you know what you're looking for, you will have a much easier time purchasing a toddler bed set. Take your little gal with you so that she can have in on the fun.
